Warm welcome, not rushed into ordering, very accommodating with a child's questions and menu requests, given all the time we wanted to order, eat and relax afterwards.
We have eaten here before but never reviewed. We recommend this restaurant as good value, cosy and quality food. The staff are pleasant and the owner Shah pays attention to detail in ensuring your visit and experience is a good one. In our recent visit his friend Mahoub looked after the restaurant and diners again a faultless experience.
Best to book at peak times as these times food can take a little longer but that’s the same everywhere. If your in Long Melford give it a try.
First visit here and was favourably impressed. Nice décor, tablecloths etc. Service was good but fairly slow, though when the food is good that isn't a problem as good food should take a while. Interesting menu, not just the standard offerings. My meal was very good (sadly can't recall its name but was chicken with fenugreek and paneer). Excellent nan (which i prefer to rice). Will add this to my list of preferred local restaurants.
This is now the third time we have eaten here with the Sunday Buffet. Service is good and efficient.
What we like about this place is the fact that you can actually taste the difference in the curries on offer, rather than tasting like they have all been made using the same basic curry mix as at other buffets we have tried locally.
Also it is just the right size restaurant if you don't want to feel rushed or have to jostle with other diners in case they finish up the dish you want to try as the buffet is always kept topped up. Now on our list of favourite Indian Restaurants.
Visited by chance early evening staff pleasant and helpful some dishes were not familiar to us and detailed advice give, ordered chicken dansak and chicken special plus pickles and poppadoms very good.
Stumbled on this restaurant and can I say the food and service from Shar and his team was second to none ! I left my sunglasses there and he even posted them back to me too ! Top Service and thank you.
Cafe Masala is a friendly restaurant selling a very wide range of Indian and other cuisines. The food is of very high quality with a good selection of drinks as well. The ambience is lovely, with an eastern theme but in a beautiful old beamed building. It also does takeaway. Good value for money.
We decided to try Cafe Masala again as we haven't eaten here for some time. As it was a Sunday lunchtime went for the Sunday buffet which was excellent with a great choice and really tasty flavours. Service was courteous and friendly and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere meaning you didn't feel rushed eating and choosing the dishes as we have found at other restaurants offering a buffet lunch. I have to say I think we have now found a new preferred Indian restaurant and will definitely visit again.
“I’m a frequent visitor of Cafe Massala and for more than one reason, not only is the food fantastic, but the customer care is sensational. You receive a warm welcome upon arrival and the staff are attentive throughout the meal. The decor in Cafe Massala has recently been updated, I often take clients, family and friends to the restaurant and i’m never disappointed.”
“Cafe Massala is always a first choice, having visited various indian restaurants over the years, I must say Cafe Massala tops the list. I often take business associates, colleagues and customers to the restaurant and we always enjoy our meals.”
“One of the best Indian restaurants in Suffolk, in my view. I’ve not visited them all, but I’ve been here several times and never had anything other than an excellent meal.”
“The best Indian in Suffolk. Great food and lovely staff.”
“The food here is ALWAYS superb and the service is outstanding too. Highly recommend.”
“Love this restaurant great food and very friendly staff.”
